Goodwood to host 'British motor show'

A British motor show is set to take place on the eve of the Festival of Speed at Goodwood this year.

The show will take place on Thursday 1 July and, unlike most static motor shows, will allow visitors to test drive the cars around the Goodwood estate and up the famous hill route that features in the Festival.

The idea is the brainchild of the estate's owner Lord March and will play host to several important launches,

The 2010 Rolls-Royce Ghost is on its way to the real world--but while it's not due to be revealed for months yet, spy photographers have grabbed clear shots of the new luxury sedan.

Moore is Less? Rolls-Royce Picks Ghost for New Sedan

Rolls-Royce is flashing back to its own past for the name of its new sedan--the "Ghost," according to CEO Tom Purves.

Purves announced the name for the new small Roller at the Shanghai auto show today. It's the first use of the name, though there have been Silver Ghosts in the Rolls lineup. (Then there's the silly movie from 1990 that inexplicably earned Whoopi Goldberg an Oscar.)

Without catching anyone off guard, an exterior stylist for Rolls-Royce disclosed that the company is planning both coupe and convertible variants of its upcoming all-new Ghost sedan.
