Rolls-Royce RR4 Baby Rolls gets new V12 engine
All-new 6.6-litre V12 will power compact model, along with a new eight-speed gearbox too
The wraps are slowly coming off Rolls-Royce’s new luxury car! The company has confirmed more details about the production version of the 200EX concept, which was recently revealed at the Geneva Motor Show.
Codenamed RR4, it will be powered by a new 500bhp 6.6-litre turbocharged V12 engine that will only be used by Rolls-Royce models. It will be hooked up to a new eight-speed automatic ZF gearbox. The company claims that this new drivetrain will greatly improve fuel economy and CO2 emissions.
Likely to cost around £180,000 the new model will make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September before going on sale in early 2010.
