Audi A3 1.6 TDI

Audi has unveiled the fuel efficient A3 1.6 TDI.

As the name implies, power comes from a 1.6-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 77 kW (105 hp) and 250 Nm of torque. There's no confusing it with the long-rumored RS3, as 0-100 km/h takes 11.4 seconds (11.7 seconds for the Sportback) and the top speed is limited to 190 km/h (118.06 mph).

Thanks to brake-energy regeneration and an engine start/stop system, the 1.6 TDI only

Kimi Raikkonen has signed an "outline agreement" to kick off a second tenure with the McLaren team beginning in 2010, the Mirror newspaper reported on Sunday.

The British newspaper said the 29-year-old Finn, who raced with the Woking based outfit between 2002 and 2006, must first reach an agreement with Ferrari, with whom he is under contract for one more season.

Spy photographers captured these photos of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster on the Nürburgring this week.  As the AMG SLS was on display at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Roadster was brought out by engineers for normal speed road testing.

Previously seen in California, the Roadster should get the same AMG 6.3-liter V8 engine seen on the SLS.  This eight-cylinder model produces 571 horsepower and up

Capristo Day 2009

Residents of Sundern, Germany, woke up to the roar of 80 Prancing Horses converging over the weekend.  The small Western German town of 29,000 is the home of Capristo Exhaust Systems.  Company owner Antonio Capristo sent out the invitation for owners of Maranello-made cars, and got a large response.

Lamborghini and Maserati owners also showed up, as did a number of spectators.
